Airport Services Maintenance Repair Tech 2 (MRT2) – Miami International Airport MIA

Location: Onsite at Miami International Airport, Miami, Florida, United States. Must be able to work first, second, or third shifts, including weekends and holidays, and be eligible for airport security badging.

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain baggage conveyor, control, and related airport equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance, including emergency, unscheduled, and scheduled repairs.
• Record maintenance data, work orders, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and service logs in the CMMS system.
• Read equipment manuals, work orders, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operate golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment; support airport operations by clearing baggage jams.
• Follow safety procedures while working around aircraft, heavy equipment, moving mechanical parts, and airport vehicle traffic.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of related equipment maintenance or maintenance operations experience.
• Experience with 120, 220, and 480 AC volts; ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, perform outdoor airport-ramp duties, and regularly lift or move up to 49 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain an airport security badge and work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Airport experience.
• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems.
• Experience with passenger boarding bridges and conveyance systems.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Ability to direct work tasks, delegate assignments, and communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
