Focus on diagnosing equipment failures, executing preventive and emergency maintenance, documenting work in the CMMS, and minimizing operational downtime.

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite work at IAH Airport. Availability for day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.

What you will do

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on airport facility systems and controls.
  • Execute reactive, preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose failures in motors, motor controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other mechanical and electrical components.
  • Document maintenance work, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions in the CMMS.
  • Communicate critical equipment conditions and operational impacts to the Site Manager.
  • Identify recurring failure root causes, recommend corrective actions, and guide Level I maintenance technicians.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least 3 years of experience in equipment and maintenance operations.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to work on an airport ramp, around aircraft and heavy equipment, in outdoor weather and confined spaces; ladder work and lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in airport operations or facility maintenance.
  • Plumbing or electrical background, including 480V, three-phase motors.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.
