SR Maintenance Technician -Airport Systems

Location: Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. On-site work on the airport ramp and in baggage conveyor areas; third-shift work, including weekends and holidays, is required.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair baggage handling systems, boarding bridges, conveyor systems, and related electrical, mechanical, and industrial control equipment.
• Perform reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including scheduled, emergency, and unscheduled repairs.
• Replace encoders, photo eyes, heads, controllers, and other baggage-handling components; inspect and repair power circuits and electrical wiring.
• Monitor baggage-system operations and data, identify root causes, clear bag jams, and coordinate corrective action.
• Record accurate maintenance information in the CMMS and communicate critical conditions to the Supervisor and Site Manager.
• Operate golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment while following airport and company safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver license.
• At least 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair skills, preferably with baggage machines.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to direct work tasks, delegate assignments, and communicate professionally with customers and employees.
• Ability to obtain an airport security badge and work the third shift, including weekends and holidays.

Nice to have

• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems.
• Familiarity with airport operations.
