Maintenance Repair Technician I (Mechanical/Electrical Systems)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite work at IAH Airport, including the airport ramp and baggage conveyor areas

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on airport facility systems and controls.
• Execute reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including emergency response.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS.
• Interpret manuals and work orders to complete service tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests and communicate critical updates to the Site Manager.
• Follow safety standards while working around aircraft, vehicles, heavy equipment, and baggage conveyor systems.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in equipment and maintenance operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Availability for day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge, including facility maintenance and equipment systems.
• Ability to work onsite in airport operating conditions, including outdoor weather, confined spaces, ladder work, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to fumes or chemicals.

Nice to have

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Airport operations or facility maintenance experience.
• Plumbing or electrical experience with 480V, three-phase motors.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Basic computer and common software skills.
