Corrosion Technician (Fredericksburg/Junction, TX)

Location: Onsite in Eldorado, Texas, supporting the Fredericksburg and Junction, TX area

What you will do

• Provide technical support for corrosion control and pipeline integrity across a regional or system area.
• Design, install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cathodic protection facilities, power lines, galvanic anodes, and internal corrosion control systems.
• Conduct pipe-to-soil surveys, rectifier readings, interference testing, electrical isolation checks, corrosion tests, and pipeline condition monitoring.
• Evaluate coatings and atmospheric corrosion, develop mitigation plans, and support district operations.
• Support in-line digital metal loss and stress corrosion cracking inspections, including action plans, prove-up inspections, and closure reports.
• Prepare drawings, job specifications, bid documents, compliance documentation, and inspect third-party construction activities.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in Corrosion Technology, electrical, electronics, or an equivalent field.
• Approved coursework covering internal, external, and atmospheric corrosion.
• Two to four years of relevant experience; job level will correspond to experience.
• Working knowledge of corrosion instrumentation, coating-project environmental and safety requirements, computer systems, and basic mathematics.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers; a commercial driver's license may be required.
• Ability to respond to callouts and emergencies during and after regular business hours, including after dark.
