Airport Services - Maintenance Repair Tech III - RDU Airport (RDU) (Airport Maintenance)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States; onsite work at RDU Airport, including the airport ramp and baggage conveyor areas

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair baggage handling systems and related electrical and mechanical components.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair passenger boarding bridges.
• Perform scheduled, unscheduled, emergency, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Lead and delegate maintenance tasks while communicating with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Replace encoders, photo eyes, controllers, and other system components; interpret manuals, work orders, and technical documentation.
• Record maintenance activity in CMMS, analyze system data, clear baggage jams, and minimize operational downtime.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain the necessary security clearance.
• At least 5 years of maintenance operations experience.
• Availability for first, second, or third shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Advanced mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair skills.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of PLC control systems and experience with 480V, three-phase motors.
• Ability to work outdoors on an airport ramp, around aircraft and heavy equipment, in confined spaces, at heights, and in loud or hazardous conditions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Airport maintenance or airport operations experience.
• Experience with passenger boarding bridges and conveyance systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.
