Maintenance Repair Technician III - PHX Sky Harbor International Airport

Location: PHX Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Onsite work on the airport ramp and in confined baggage conveyor areas; availability for first, second, or third shifts, including weekends and holidays.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair baggage handling systems and related electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform scheduled, unscheduled, emergency, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Lead and delegate maintenance tasks while communicating with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Replace components such as encoders, photo eyes, and controllers; interpret manuals and work orders.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and analyze system data to identify and resolve issues.
• Clear baggage jams, operate assigned vehicles and equipment, and support safe, reliable airport operations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance operations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
• Availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Skills in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair.
• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems and ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to work outdoors around aircraft and heavy equipment, in confined spaces, at heights, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Familiarity with airport operations, passenger boarding bridges, and conveyance systems.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.
