Maintenance Repair Technician - IAH Airport (HAS) (Aerospace)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite at IAH Airport. Day or night shifts may include weekends, holidays, and 24-hour emergency response support.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain passenger loading bridges, gate services, baggage conveyor systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Repair electrical and control systems and adjust, replace, install, lubricate, and clean equipment components.
• Perform preventative, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance, including work with cutting, brazing, or welding equipment when required.
• Test equipment performance, identify abnormalities before breakdowns, and follow manufacturer specifications and operational manuals.
• Document maintenance issues, repairs, labor time, and parts usage in Maintenance Connection and CMMS.
• Maintain a safe workplace by following Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions for repair and maintenance of passenger loading bridges.
• Valid driver's license and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions; lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport and attend the work location regularly.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Understanding of PLC control systems.
• Familiarity with airport operations.
