Business Controller (Retail)

Location: Support Office Milan, Via Turati 9, Italy; hybrid setup

What you will do

• Analyze financial and commercial performance across store and e-commerce channels, including P&L, sales, margins, productivity, costs, and other retail KPIs.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis across the Sales Market.
• Identify profitability and efficiency opportunities, support business cases and investment evaluations, and follow up on post-investment outcomes.
• Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models to provide actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with Area Teams, Commercial, Marketing, Accounting, and Support Functions on performance management and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure accurate monthly reporting, liquidity planning, governance, compliance, internal controls, and management presentations.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Business Controlling, Financial Controlling, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or a similar function.
• Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs, productivity initiatives, cost optimization, and operational performance improvement.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with planning, reporting, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Experience with business cases, investment evaluations, financial modelling, governance, compliance, and financial controls.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken, and availability for a local contract based in Milan.
