Software Engineer I – AI Agents & Harnesses

Salary: $99,100–$163,400 annual base salary

What you will do

• Build and operate agent harness capabilities used by engineering teams across the enterprise.
• Integrate AI agents with tools, APIs, and enterprise systems, ensuring reliability under production load.
• Advance test automation and deliver secure, observable, scalable, recoverable, and financially responsible code.
• Contribute to application and solution design with architects, product owners, and consuming engineering teams.
• Own software assets end to end, including currency, vulnerability management, production readiness, and maintenance.
• Document solutions and deepen expertise in owned technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 additional years of software engineering experience, including software shipped and supported in production.
• Proficiency in Python and exposure to TypeScript for AI integration work.
• Hands-on experience building generative AI or agentic applications, including orchestration loops, tool interfaces, context and memory management, and guardrails.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure, containerization and orchestration tools including Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience with agent runtimes or frameworks such as AWS AgentCore, Strands Agents, or LangGraph, plus infrastructure provisioning, Helm, observability, and distributed tracing.
