Software Development Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and maintain MCP servers, AI integrations, and developer tools to optimize engineering workflows.
• Develop scripts and automation for AI tool onboarding, configuration, and fleet management.
• Implement logging and monitoring to ensure platform observability and reliability.
• Collaborate with Security and compliance teams to integrate policy requirements into tooling.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for the team's codebase.
• Research the AI tooling landscape to propose and adopt new models and frameworks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Production experience building backend services or developer tooling in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and basic prompt engineering concepts.
• Understanding of AI security, responsible AI principles, and data handling risks.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agent architectures, including the ReAct pattern.
• Hands-on experience building MCP servers or tool-use integrations.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of authentication fundamentals (OAuth, SSO, API keys).
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
