Quality Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Auburn, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $109,000–$128,300 per year for Quality Engineer III

What you will do

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production data, quality-control systems, and critical value-stream points to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Lead root cause analyses, recommend corrective actions, and qualify product and process changes.
• Support audits, failure analysis, and reliability testing while preparing nonconformance, quality-trend, and root-cause reports.
• Review and approve quality-related ECOs, MCOs, and deviations, and implement data-driven improvement strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Quality Engineer experience in an aerospace or similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and experience with AS9145/APQP and ISO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of quality concepts, practices, and procedures, with the ability to plan and accomplish goals independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Where controlled data or information access is required, only US Persons will be considered under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Lean principles and implementation tools.
• Training in structured problem solving, 5S, mistake-proofing, and process capability tools.
• Familiarity with Minitab.
• ASQC Quality Engineer certification.
