Senior Electrical Technician (Instrumentation)

Location: Browns Summit, North Carolina — Greensboro Browns Summit Plant; onsite work with rotating shifts, including weekends, 8–12 hours per day.

Starting pay: $45.97 per hour, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot high-speed packing, manufacturing, facilities power, and control equipment.
• Program, monitor, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, servo, robotics, and instrumentation systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, electrical repairs, and maintenance planning activities.
• Analyze technical data and trends to identify issues proactively, eliminate defects, and improve electrical systems.
• Support planned maintenance downtime, capital projects, vendors, suppliers, and on-site construction teams.
• Build technical capability in other employees and promote electrical safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus a two-year technical degree or certification in industrial electrical work or a related field.
• At least 7 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical and controls systems, including PLCs, HMIs, process instrumentation, machine controls, variable frequency drives, servo drives, robotics, power distribution below 600V, and control-system networking.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and single-line drawings and use electrical troubleshooting tools.
• Willingness to work any shift, including weekends, rotating shifts, overtime, and variable schedules.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in a regulated food, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of GMP compliance.
• Advanced PLC program navigation, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis experience.
