Instrumentation & Electrical Technician

Location: On-site in North Manchester, Indiana, United States. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with after-hours, weekend, and holiday call-in requirements for emergencies.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues, identify root causes, repair or replace parts, and install conduit, wiring, and related equipment.
• Maintain and work with 4160V, 480V, 220V, 110V, 24V DC, and 4–20 mA circuits, motors, breakers, transformers, protective relays, panels, and motor control centers.
• Troubleshoot PLC/DCS I/O and calibrate, configure, and repair flow, level, pressure, temperature, and pH measurement and control instruments.
• Perform preventive electrical maintenance, compliance procedures, inspections, documentation, calibration records, inventory control, and parts ordering.
• Support emergency and scheduled shutdowns, work with contractors and management, and assist with electrical programs, procedures, and team training.
• Maintain safe, clean, compliant plant operations while working in areas with noise, chemicals, moving equipment, confined spaces, heights, and extreme temperatures.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in an electrical training program or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related work experience and thorough knowledge of standard electrical equipment and work practices.
• Experience with three-phase electrical systems up to 4160V, PLC/DCS I/O, 4–20 mA loops, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read and interpret PLC code, schematic wiring, ladder logic, and P&ID process diagrams.
• Strong organizational, communication, time-management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on-site in North Manchester, Indiana, meet after-hours call-in requirements, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and comply with random testing during employment.

Nice to have

• Journeyman or Master electrical license, where applicable.
• Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and ability to learn new programs.
