Registered Nurse, RN - Operating Room (Operating Room)

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital, Massachusetts, United States; onsite operating-room role

Pay range: $37.50–$75.32 per hour

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to patients and families in a complex operating-room setting.
• Assess patients, document clinical findings, and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Apply nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, and research to patient care.
• Manage patient assignments, delegate effectively, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions, and develop discharge plans.
• Support new staff members and guide professional growth through precepting.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• At least one year of operating-room experience required.
• Prior circulating and scrubbing experience required.
• Relevant department-specific certification may be required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
