Automotive Business Consultant – Accounting Specialist

Location: Washington, DC; remote work is indicated, with extensive travel across the country and overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 per year. Training base salary: $60,000–$63,000; targeted income after training: $80,000+ including bonuses.

What you will do

• Build professional relationships with automotive dealership customers.
• Identify operational trouble areas and recommend ways to improve dealership efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
• Apply established consulting programs and automotive industry knowledge to solve customer problems.
• Follow up after projects and provide ongoing fee-for-service support and problem resolution.
• Develop customer trust and support additional consulting services sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• At least 5 years of automotive dealership experience, including office management, automotive accounting controller, or AP/AR accounting representative experience.
• Willingness to travel extensively with overnight hotel stays up to 5 nights per week, every week.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last 5 years.
• Reliable home internet with sufficient bandwidth for video conferencing.
