Audio/Video Technician (Full Time)

Location: hirify.global San Antonio, United States; onsite work in theaters, stadiums, and outdoor environments

hirify.global operates an animal-focused theme park and live entertainment venue, producing performances and special events for visitors.

What you will do

• Perform theater and stadium opening and closing duties, daily systems inspections, and show-readiness checks.
• Set up and operate performances and special events as a stagehand, spotlight operator, lighting operator, audio operator, or camera/video equipment operator.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair theatrical equipment and computerized control systems.
• Assist the Production team with installations for new shows, special events, and consumer events.
• Work with the Stage Manager on daily assignments and project-list items.
• Complete ongoing training and maintain a safe, professional, and positive work environment.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and able to provide a valid state driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a theme park or theatrical environment, with training in lighting, staging, video, audio, or equipment repair.
• Ability to operate computers and theatrical control systems and communicate professionally through a headset.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights from 6 to 65 feet, stand for extended periods, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for varying shifts, including opening, closing, and event rehearsal shifts; comfort working outdoors, around water, animals, noise, vibrations, fumes, dust, and odors is required.

Nice to have

• Training or certifications with Vari*Lite, Robe, Elation, ETC, Christie, Panasonic, Daktronics, Blackmagic, Q-Sys, Shure, Lectrosonic, or Dante equipment.
• Experience operating industrial vehicles or watercraft, including high-reach equipment, forklifts, scissor lifts, barges, or john boats.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory, carpentry, and pyrotechnic-material handling.
• Ability to interpret lighting plots, schematics, and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
