Studio Technician- Part Time

Location: Washington, DC, United States; onsite

Compensation: $35–$40 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Support the technical operation of live broadcasts, prerecords, and special events.
• Operate cameras, audio, visual graphics, and lighting equipment.
• Prepare studios and control rooms for live and recorded productions.
• Set up, test, maintain, and store microphones, IFBs, studio cameras, and monitors.
• Assist talent, directors, production staff, and engineering teams with studio, camera, audio, and lighting support.
• Perform equipment checks and operational testing to maintain technical quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Strong understanding of live broadcasts and studio operations.
• Ability to interact effectively with directors, anchors, production staff, and engineering teams.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to solve problems effectively.
• Excellent communication and organization skills with basic computer knowledge.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience in television, film, or post-production.
