Studio and Conference Room Operator (AV)

Location: Washington, DC; full-time onsite. Core hours are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM across two shifts, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Provide broadcast studio and conference center AV support across multiple facilities.
• Perform daily system checks and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-camera production, video routing, broadcast audio, lighting, sound reinforcement, teleprompter, and virtual communication systems.
• Support live, virtual, and hybrid events, including international summits, press briefings, secure video teleconferences, and productions using Zoom or equivalent government systems.
• Manage graphics animation, LED wall displays, screen systems, event recording, and archival compliance.
• Provide technical oversight and project management for AV installations, upgrades, maintenance cycles, modernization, lifecycle management, and new infrastructure planning.
• Maintain two-hour surge response capability for short-notice or emergency events, including weekends and Federal Holidays as required, while supporting senior government officials, press staff, and visiting dignitaries.

Requirements

• Minimum active interim security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain active TS/SCI clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in AV and/or television broadcast operations.
• 2+ years of experience installing, operating, and maintaining broadcast-quality audio and video systems.
• 2+ years of experience setting up, operating, and recovering broadcast systems, including lighting, sound, teleprompter, virtual telecommunications, live production switching, and graphics or LED screen management.
• Strong technical proficiency with multi-camera production environments, video routing systems, and professional broadcast consoles.
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines and maintain professionalism in high-visibility settings.
