Studio and Conference Room Operator (Broadcast AV)

Location: Washington, DC; full-time onsite. Core hours are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM across two shifts, Monday–Friday, with overtime, weekend, and Federal Holiday coverage as needed.

What you will do

• Provide broadcast studio and conference center AV support across multiple facilities.
• Perform system checks and operate multi-camera production environments, video routing systems, and broadcast consoles.
• Operate and maintain audio consoles, lighting, sound reinforcement, teleprompters, virtual communication systems, graphics, and LED wall displays.
• Support live, virtual, and hybrid events, including international summits, press briefings, and secure video teleconferences.
• Record and archive events in accordance with quality and archival standards.
• Troubleshoot AV systems and support installations, upgrades, lifecycle management, and technology modernization.

Requirements

• Minimum active interim security clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain active TS/SCI clearance.
• At least 5 years of experience in AV and/or television broadcast operations.
• At least 2 years of experience installing, operating, and maintaining broadcast-quality audio and video systems.
• At least 2 years of experience managing broadcast setups involving lighting, sound, teleprompters, virtual telecommunications, live production switching, and graphics or LED screens.
• Strong technical proficiency with multi-camera production, video routing, and professional broadcast consoles.
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines and maintain professionalism when supporting senior government officials, press staff, and visiting dignitaries.
