Senior Software Engineer, AWS Cloud

Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, or Austin, Texas, at least 4 days per week. Travel may include up to 10% domestic or international travel. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Salary: $145,676–$178,049, including base pay and eligible variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead large programs and initiatives independently, own technical domains, and coordinate work across organizations and enterprise stakeholders.
• Create and maintain enterprise reference architecture covering cloud, security, identity, observability, and software delivery pipelines.
• Develop standardized Paved Paths and build applications and platform features for cloud and DevOps services.
• Lead development of a governed and industrialized AI-augmented software delivery platform.
• Mentor engineers, architects, and technical leads on architecture, cloud patterns, AI-augmented delivery, cloud security, and cost management.

Requirements

• High school diploma with at least 8 years of information technology or computer science experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of full-stack AWS cloud-native application development experience using TypeScript and/or Python.
• Experience developing infrastructure as code with TypeScript, CloudFormation, or Python.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Strong software development, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and the GitHub API.
• Experience with AWS authentication and authorization, Active Directory, Auth0, Cognito, OAuth/OIDC, web applications, or APIs.
• Experience mentoring others and adapting to modernization initiatives.
