Senior Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in the United States, with an initial on-site onboarding trip and up to 20% domestic travel

Compensation: $106,000–$145,750, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible

What you will do

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, and code reviews.
• Design and build systems with software engineers, architects, QA engineers, full-stack developers, and other technical specialists.
• Coordinate with clinical analysts, product analysts, quality analysts, and software engineers.
• Contribute to security and risk assessments for production application components.
• Interact with customers to resolve operational problems and determine requirements.
• Provide on-call support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and five years of software development experience, or a high school diploma/GED and ten years of experience.
• At least five years of experience with Java, C#, or Python.
• At least one year of experience with relational SQL or NoSQL databases.
• At least one year of experience with cloud architecture, especially AWS, web application security, and large-scale hosted applications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Agile software engineering, documentation, configuration management, unit and integration testing, and continuous integration.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Linux/Unix, enterprise software, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Ability to solve problems independently and collaborate with distributed teams.
