R&D Project Manager

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; hybrid schedule. Occasional domestic and overseas travel is required, below 15%.

Salary: $109,341–$164,011 base salary, plus a performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

• Plan and manage internal and external new product development projects for electronic inks and pastes.
• Assemble project teams, define schedules, track technical activities, and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate R&D teams in the United States, Asia, and Europe with business unit, sales, manufacturing, quality, and development stakeholders.
• Plan project resources, assess risks, and define countermeasures.
• Contribute to portfolio management processes and optimize project management methods.
• Maintain alignment and accurate information flow with line-of-business owners and product managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science, physics, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing technology-oriented projects and/or working in electronics.
• Ability to manage complex projects using Agile, Waterfall, and other appropriate methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, systematic thinking, innovation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Assertive, resilient, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a cross-cultural, high-performance team.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, and Microsoft Project.

Nice to have

• Project management certification such as PMP, CSM, or CPMP.
• Master’s degree in a related technical discipline.
