Project Manager (Chromatography Solutions, Medical Device, NPD)

Salary: $111,500–$125,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional new product development and value engineering programs for separations consumables from concept through launch.
• Build and manage integrated project plans covering schedules, critical paths, resources, dependencies, budgets, and milestones.
• Drive stage-gate and tollgate execution by defining deliverables, preparing decisions, and documenting outcomes.
• Manage project risks and issues, develop countermeasures, and coordinate external vendors or partners when needed.
• Establish governance, stakeholder communication, action tracking, decision logs, performance reporting, and escalation processes.
• Apply Danaher Business System methods and structured problem-solving while maintaining quality management and design-control documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience preferred in product development, R&D, operations, or a life science consumables environment.
• 3+ years of project management experience, including delivery of at least one product development program through launch or an equivalent lifecycle release.
• Experience with stage-gate or design control in a regulated development or manufacturing environment, such as an ISO-based QMS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Project or an equivalent scheduling tool, plus practical risk management experience.
• On-site attendance is required in Torrance as business needs dictate, including team meetings, workshops, training events, and milestone reviews.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or equivalent formal project management training.
• Experience applying Lean or Danaher Business System tools, including VPM and PSP.
• Project delivery experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or separations and chromatography consumables.
• Experience translating voice of customer input into product requirement specifications and executable plans.
