TL;DR
Safety Specialist I or II (Electrical T&D) (EHS/electrical construction): Conducting field safety oversight for electric construction projects with an accent on OSHA compliance, safety planning, training, and incident investigation. Location: Rogers, Minnesota, United States; onsite at company-designated office or field locations with travel across assigned project worksites

Salary: $73,000–$105,000 per year, paid weekly and commensurate with experience.

What you will do

  • Conduct site visits, document safety behaviors and work conditions, and perform PPE hazard assessments.
  • Coordinate site-specific safety plans, job hazard analyses, safety meetings, and project kickoff and progress meetings.
  • Support compliance with client requirements and local, state, and federal occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Coach and mentor field personnel and coordinate required employee training, including OSHA refreshers and post-incident training.
  • Investigate accidents and injuries, perform root cause analyses, and support incident case management and documentation.
  • Track corrective actions and support safety committees with performance trend analysis and process improvements.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other industry-related safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and independent working skills.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to travel to job sites for extended periods is required.

Nice to have

  • Safety certification such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP.
  • Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electric construction project management practices and procedures.
