Product Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site at the manufacturing site in Wantage, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Salary: Starting from £36,000 per annum

What you will do

• Lead customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Use 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, control plans, and other structured quality methods.
• Drive projects improving product quality, process capability, defect prevention, and customer satisfaction.
• Support non-conformance investigations, risk assessments, process validations, production trials, product introductions, and process changes.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System, participate in internal, customer, and certification audits, and close findings.
• Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and reports while collaborating with Manufacturing, Technical, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related engineering.
• Experience in product quality, manufacturing engineering, or reliability engineering.
• Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, PPAP, and DOE.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the product line.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and statistical methods.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
