Systems Administrator III (Cybersecurity)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; must be local to the work location. Occasional telework is available.

Salary: $79,046.56–$137,446.63 annually.

What you will do

• Manage system requirements, traceability, configuration management, and lifecycle documentation.
• Define and execute component, integration, and system-level verification and validation activities.
• Integrate hardware, software, and mission systems in secure Department of Defense environments.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code.
• Configure and maintain secure test environments using cloud-native and virtualized resources such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises infrastructure.
• Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis, document findings, manage technical risks, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance required; a U.S. clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
• DoD 8140 certification required, such as CompTIA Security+.
• Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of related experience with strong systems thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with requirements decomposition and tracing, configuration management, test planning, and system integration and verification.
• Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements tools, MBSE tools such as MSOSA/Cameo, Jira, Confluence, Git, and scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB.
