Sr. Linux Systems Administrator (RHEL)

Location: Columbia, Maryland; onsite Monday through Friday

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer, patch, harden, and sustain RHEL servers and workstations across three or more isolated classified networks.
• Administer and tune HPC clusters, workload schedulers, shared or parallel filesystems, and low-latency interconnects.
• Manage NetApp ONTAP storage, including NFS and CIFS exports, snapshots, capacity planning, and backup and recovery.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and remediation with Bash, Python, and Ansible, including on disconnected systems.
• Perform vulnerability remediation, continuous monitoring, ACAS and SCAP scanning, audit-log review, and C2C/802.1x integration.
• Support ATO activities, audits, inspections, documentation, STIG checklists, POA&Ms, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Linux systems administration experience in DoD/DoW or classified environments.
• Advanced RHEL administration, Linux identity and authentication, storage, networking, scripting, and automation experience.
• Experience with DoD STIG compliance, RMF, DISA security requirements, DCSA accreditation, ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, and SIEM integration.
• Active DoD 8140-compliant baseline and computing-environment certifications, including a certification such as Security+ CE, CISSP, or RHCSA.

Nice to have

• RHCE, RHCA, NCDA, or advanced PBS Professional experience.
• Ansible Automation Platform and Git-based configuration management experience.
• Experience with Zero Trust, Podman, Kubernetes, Cross Domain Solutions, or cloud-based DoD environments.
• Project management experience and experience briefing executive leadership.
