What you will do

• Design, implement, administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure for software factory and environment operations.
• Engineer VMware and Linux server environments across classified IL6 and unclassified IL5 networks.
• Support AWS and Azure cloud platforms, enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, tune performance, and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Automate system administration using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Support patching, system upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes, documentation, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and RMF activities while coordinating with government, cybersecurity, network, and mission stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of systems engineering or enterprise infrastructure experience in DoD or federal government environments.
• 2+ years managing VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, virtual machines, vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, DRS, provisioning, snapshots, networking, and storage.
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AWS or Azure, enterprise storage and backup, automation, scripting, monitoring, and performance management.
• Understanding of RMF, STIGs, ACAS, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and active Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification required.

Nice to have

• Microsoft, Red Hat, VCP, or AWS certifications.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, DevSecOps, or Infrastructure-as-Code.
