Cylinder Prep Tech - Plant Operator II (Industrial Gas)

Location: Plumsteadville, Pennsylvania, United States; on-site plant work across all shifts and weather conditions.

Compensation includes a $1,000 retention bonus.

What you will do

• Organize, assess, sort, and move incoming gas cylinders by size, service, and valve type.
• Prepare and refurbish cylinders by emptying previous contents, removing labels, scraping, painting, applying temperature coating, and replacing valves.
• Operate vacuum pumps, cylinder driers, bake-out systems, high-pressure manifolds, caustic scrubbers, and related preparation equipment.
• Inspect and maintain high- and low-pressure cylinders and keep preparation equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Manage prepped-cylinder inventory, allocate cylinders to customer orders, and support valve and cylinder inventory control.
• Load and unload common carrier trucks and hirify.global shuttle trucks, including handling cylinders on pallets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, safety data sheets, and procedure manuals in English and complete written reports in English.
• Ability to read pressure and temperature indicators, connect and disconnect filling lines, and move gas cylinders.
• Ability to work in a team, make decisions, solve problems, and work all shifts.
• Ability to stand regularly and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
