Customer Field Service and Construction Technician (Industrial Gases)

Location: Residence-based role in Georgia, United States, ideally south of Atlanta, with 50–75% travel throughout the southern United States.

What you will do

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites, including cryogenic tanks, pumps, and piping.
• Start up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cryogenic and gaseous systems serving oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide.
• Coordinate equipment selection, transportation, crane operations, rigging, lifts, installation, and startup support.
• Supervise contractors and maintenance technicians, including serving as lift supervisor for crane operations up to 250 tons.
• Perform brazing, piping installation and pressure testing, maintenance support, cost reporting, and technical documentation.
• Train customers and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a service or pickup truck road test and DOT physical, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, proficiency with hand and power tools, and ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, piping drawings, equipment layouts, and electrical control schematics.
• Flexibility to travel up to 75% throughout the southern United States.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb stairs and ladders.
• Strong safety focus, communication, organization, computer, and basic project management skills.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical degree, related apprenticeship, or military experience in lieu of a technical degree.
• Class A CDL license.
• Experience with safe rigging, crane contractor supervision, and lift supervision.
