Operations Supervisor (Industrial Gases)

Location: Martinez, California, United States; full-time on-site role at the Marathon Renewable Fuels Facility.

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 annually plus bonus. California employees in select high-cost counties may receive an additional $10,900–$12,100 in annual base pay.

What you will do

• Lead six operators and develop site talent through mentoring, training, and progression planning.
• Own the site’s Basic Safety Process and Process Safety Management program while ensuring federal, state, and county regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with the maintenance supervisor, including priorities, planning, preventive maintenance, and mechanical integrity programs.
• Support daily operation of an SMR hydrogen plant, auxiliary equipment, and PSA syngas purification unit by troubleshooting process issues and driving plant projects.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and coordinate product supply and safety with the on-site customer.
• Lead the plant budget and support HYCO projects, turnaround planning, and plant issues on a 24/7 basis.

Requirements

• At least five years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Proven leadership, communication, interpersonal, team-building, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Experience or demonstrated success in safety, environmental, quality, and employee involvement initiatives.
• Ability to build working relationships with customers, suppliers, maintenance teams, engineers, specialists, and contractors.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle for ongoing site access.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
