Software Engineer I (Typescript, Node, AWS)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Annual base salary: $99,100–$163,400, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Perform analysis, design, development, configuration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for assigned systems.
• Define technical requirements and implement solutions based on user and system specifications.
• Analyze and resolve defects and incidents of intermediate complexity, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Document systems, monitor system health, configure alerting, and conduct impact analysis.
• Deliver well-scoped work at a steady pace, breaking assignments into small-batch releases.
• Collaborate with team members, clarify requirements, and expand technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• At least three years of programming or development experience, including two additional years of software engineering experience.
• Required experience with TypeScript, Node, and AWS or Azure.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, documentation, collaboration, and intermediate delivery skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with C# and API development.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code.
