Engineer, Software (JavaScript/TypeScript)

Location: Remote; travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve production-grade software solutions.
• Build reusable components, frameworks, patterns, and tooling for multiple software delivery teams.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn concepts into technical designs and incremental deliverables.
• Partner with architecture to establish and document technical standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Lead or participate in technical design sessions, spike investigations, architecture reviews, and code reviews while mentoring engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and promote automation, observability, testing, security-first design, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field; advanced degrees are preferred.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET Core, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, DevOps practices, and iterative delivery.
• Experience with at least three areas including REST or GraphQL APIs, serverless architectures, Docker or Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, public cloud, monitoring, and event-driven or streaming architectures.
• Experience building and supporting componentized, microservices, or distributed architectures, plus knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Strong communication skills and openness to innovation, including AI-enabled development tools, code generation models, or ML-driven insights.
