Salary: USD $140,400–$372,300 per year, plus potential bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, implement, ship, and operate highly available services for hirify.global Issues and Projects.
• Build backend capabilities supporting project planning, tracking, collaboration, and future Copilot integration.
• Author architecture briefs and proposals, run code experiments, and develop prototypes for large-scale systems.
• Identify and resolve performance, availability, observability, automation, and reliability challenges.
• Partner with engineering and product leads to define priorities, technical roadmaps, and project plans.
• Provide technical leadership through mentorship, pairing, research, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience; alternative degree and experience combinations are accepted.
• 4+ years building and supporting large, high-traffic applications at scale in platform or infrastructure domains.
• Experience with cloud-native workloads on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• 3+ years leading cross-team technical initiatives, authoring architectural decision records, driving adoption, and mentoring engineers.
• Experience designing, operating, and debugging large-scale distributed systems with a focus on high availability, automation, observability, and reliability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration in a distributed environment.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern web stacks such as C#, Go, React, or MySQL.
• Builder mindset and comfort working through ambiguity in fast-moving environments.
