Location: Fully onsite position based at the office in Lisbon. Open to support with relocation efforts.

Salary: €52K – €65K

What you will do

• Design and build RESTful or GraphQL APIs, microservices, and business logic using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Model data and manage queries with Supabase and PostgreSQL, including functions, row-level security, and real-time features.
• Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM, and Pub/Sub.
• Write clean, testable code with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest; contribute to code reviews.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection following Clean Code and Clean Architecture.
• Set up logging, monitoring, alerting; handle incident response and uptime improvements.
• Participate in architecture discussions, mentor team members, and document systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years in backend engineering roles;
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript;
• Strong experience with Supabase or equivalent PostgreSQL-based services;
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and serverless compute (Cloud Run, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions);
• Solid knowledge of Clean Code and Clean Architecture practices;
• Experience with API design (REST), cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, testing tools, and Git workflows;
• Strong grasp of security principles, data protection, and compliance.
