Software Engineer - Internal Tools (AI)

Location: San Francisco office; in-office work required most days of the week

Base salary: $120,000–$160,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Build AI-enabled internal tools and agents for engineering, support, and operations.
• Create bots and integrations for Slack, PagerDuty, and other business systems.
• Develop internal dashboards that provide visibility into service quality and operational activity.
• Integrate LLM APIs and AI coding tools into internal systems.
• Automate incident response, customer support workflows, onboarding, and other manual processes.
• Own projects end to end, from design and implementation through deployment and support.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent project or internship experience.
• Solid programming fundamentals in at least one of TypeScript, Ruby, or Go.
• Experience building scripts, small services, or automations that solve practical problems.
• Comfort using AI coding tools and integrating LLM APIs; the role involves building AI-enabled systems.
• Clear written communication.
• Willingness and ability to work in person from the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Slack's API, GitHub Actions, or similar automation platforms.
• Exposure to Terraform or Kubernetes.
• A side project, bot, or tool built to automate a personal task.
