What you will do
- Independently conduct internal investigations into potential legal and compliance issues.
- Interview relevant parties, review documents, perform open-source research, and prepare clear, concise investigation work products.
- Advise internal stakeholders on government inquiries, investigations, and litigation matters principally in China.
- Provide legal guidance on Chinese anti-unfair competition, anti-corruption, improper promotion, and related life sciences laws.
- Support compliance training and the identification, escalation, and investigation of issues for the corporate Triage Committee.
Requirements
- US Juris Doctor (JD) or Common Law equivalent (LLB).
- Chinese law degree from a reputable university.
- At least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong Chinese and English oral and written communication skills.
- Significant experience conducting internal investigations in China for life sciences companies at a reputable US law firm or equivalent.
- Collaborative approach and strong analytical skills.
