What you will do

• Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, including sterile compounds, under pharmacist supervision.
• Coordinate workflow, shift scheduling, training, development, and coverage for absences.
• Manage medication procurement, pharmaceutical inventory, drug shortages, backorders, and supply orders.
• Oversee quality assurance programs, regulatory compliance, training validation, and process improvement.
• Monitor and troubleshoot automated dispensing machines and other medication-use technology.
• Coordinate with physicians, patients, healthcare teams, internal resources, and external vendors to resolve medication-access and technology issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• At least two years of pharmacy-related experience.
• Knowledge of medications, dosing forms, indications, formulary status, strengths, sterile compounding techniques, mathematical calculations, and hazardous substance handling.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the day, lift up to 30 pounds, push equipment weighing 40–60 pounds, and work around hazardous chemicals and broken glass.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree.
• Three years of pharmacy-related experience in a hospital setting.
