TL;DR

Focus on calculating dosage volumes, maintaining clean-room and quality-assurance standards, controlling medication records, and supporting pharmacy operations across clinical sites.

Location: West Cancer Center in Tigard, Oregon; full-time, onsite, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: $23.87–$39.06 per hour

What you will do

  • Prepare and compound or admix injectable chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications under physician or other healthcare professional supervision.
  • Verify medication orders, patient information, provider authorization, insurance approval, dosage calculations, and preparation details.
  • Maintain controlled-substance records, medication logs, lot numbers, temperature records, inventory documentation, and other quality-assurance records.
  • Clean and maintain admixture areas, hoods, clean rooms, and pharmacy spaces according to departmental procedures.
  • Order, receive, shelve, and monitor medications and pharmacy supplies, including checking for outdates.
  • Support medication-charge review, research medication accountability, indigent patient medication programs, data entry, reporting, and coverage at other clinical sites as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician training.
  • Previous admixture experience is required; oncology admixture experience is strongly preferred.
  • One to three years of hospital or clinic pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician license for Washington and/or Oregon is strongly preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel between clinics and reliable transportation are required.
