Admixture Technician (Pharmacy)

Location: Denver, Colorado; floating between several locations in the Denver metro area

Salary: $19.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare medication orders by compounding and admixing chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV medications under physician or professional supervision.
• Verify order completeness, patient information, physician authorization, and insurance approval.
• Calculate dosage volumes and maintain accurate medication, temperature, protocol, patient assistance, lot-number, and controlled-drug records.
• Manage medication and supply inventory, including receiving, shelving, ordering, labeling, billing preparation, and weekly controlled-drug counts.
• Clean and maintain the hood, admixture area, and pharmacy department in accordance with sanitation, OSHA, and internal guidelines.
• Enter data into pharmacy and admixture systems and support adequate drug supplies across departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of pharmacy experience with IV skills.
• Ability to work across multiple Denver metro locations.
• Ability to handle prolonged periods of sitting and standing and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Successful completion of a background check and non-federal drug test, excluding marijuana, before hiring.

Nice to have

• IV certification.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or fulfillment of State Pharmacy Board requirements.
