Workshop Technician

Location: Eagle Farm, Queensland, Australia; workshop and field work as requested

JLG, an hirify.global company, provides mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, lighting towers, accessories, training, and support for the access industry.

What you will do

• Service and repair customer- and company-owned mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, and lighting towers.
• Install, test, modify, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment.
• Conduct pre-delivery, three-monthly, and annual machine inspections in line with JLG and ANZ industry standards.
• Evaluate equipment performance, complete job notes and inspection paperwork, and verify machines are in good working order.
• Follow site instructions, workplace health and safety requirements, and environmental policies while maintaining an orderly workspace.
• Assist with apprentice training and supervision and collaborate on sales and service leads.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar workshop or service technician role.
• Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicles, diesel, automotive, auto electrical, or a related field.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience is advantageous.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to write job notes and understand safety information and machine manuals.
• Proficient literacy and numeracy for interpreting time, parts numbers, and quantities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
