Workshop Technician

Location: Green Fields, South Australia, Australia; onsite, full time

JLG, an Oshkosh company, provides mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, lighting towers, accessories, training, and support for the access industry.

What you will do

• Service, repair, maintain, test, and modify customer and company-owned mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, and lighting towers.
• Install and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment, including hydraulic hoses and small diesel engines.
• Evaluate equipment performance and conduct pre-delivery, three-monthly, and annual inspections.
• Complete paperwork and inspection forms in line with ANZ Standards and customer or site requirements.
• Participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks while following workplace health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Assist with apprentice training and supervision, maintain a tidy and safe workspace, and generate service leads where possible.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar workshop technician role.
• Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical, or a related field.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is advantageous.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write job notes and understand safety information and machine manuals.
• Proficient literacy and numeracy, including understanding time, part numbers, and quantities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
