TL;DR
Structural / Civil Engineer (Mining and Heavy Industrial Infrastructure): Designing and documenting structural steel, reinforced concrete, and civil infrastructure for Australian brownfield mining and heavy industrial projects with an accent on structural analysis, engineering calculations, and design verification. Focus on modifying existing plant structures, preparing technical reports and deliverables, and collaborating with Australian lead engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
Location: Onsite in Ortigas, Alabang, Pampang, or Cebu, Philippines. Work schedule: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM PHT, aligned with 8:00 AM–4:30 PM AEDT.

Engineering consultancy support is provided to an Australian client serving mining, minerals processing, ports, power generation, and heavy industrial sectors.
What you will do
- Design and analyze structural steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Modify existing plant structures and design civil infrastructure for mining and industrial facilities.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and models.
- Perform design verification, checking, and document control activities.
- Collaborate with Australian lead engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Assist with project scoping and budgeting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience designing structural steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Experience with structural analysis, engineering calculations, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
- Consulting engineering experience across multiple jobs with defined budgets and schedules.
- Knowledge of Australian structural design standards or equivalent international standards.
- Professional-level written and verbal English communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with mining infrastructure, plant structures, materials handling systems, foundations, slabs, retaining walls, culverts, or industrial civil infrastructure.
- Familiarity with AS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 1657, AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 7, Eurocodes, or ISO 14122.
- Experience with SPACEGASS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or SharePoint.
