Welding Sales Specialist (Robotics & Automation)

Location: Reading, Harrisburg, Hazle Township, Philadelphia, or York, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite work with visits to field plants and external client sites

What you will do

• Evaluate customer welding and cutting practices through weld surveys and efficiency analyses.
• Recommend safer techniques, process improvements, and advanced technologies that increase operational efficiency.
• Support the growth of capital equipment, robotics, and automation solutions through a consultative sales methodology.
• Provide technical expertise on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding systems, and plasma and laser integration.
• Coordinate the installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects.
• Mentor welding specialists and provide onsite product and application training for customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent formalized welding experience.
• Five or more years of B2B or specialized sales experience.
• Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and the minimum liability insurance required by the vehicle’s registration state.
• Experience supporting welding, industrial equipment, robotics, automation, CNC cutting, or related technologies.
• Four or more years of experience in the welding or industrial industry is preferred.
• Welding engineering education, military welding training, or technical sales and consultative experience is valued.

Nice to have

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Membership in AWS, ASM, ASNT, ASQ, ASME, or SME.
