Senior Business Analyst (MedTech)

What you will do

• Act as the primary finance partner for the DePuy Synthes New Zealand business.
• Provide financial analysis across Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Free Cash Flow, operating expenses, and capital expenditure.
• Prepare business reviews, forecasts, annual plans, and leadership presentations.
• Perform Budget versus Actual analysis and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Partner with commercial, sales, marketing, supply chain, regional finance, tax, treasury, compliance, and global services stakeholders.
• Support inventory optimization, working capital initiatives, revenue recognition, lease accounting, cross-charge reviews, and continuous finance process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or commercial finance.
• Strong financial planning, reporting, accounting, analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Australian work rights are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a multinational healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical environment.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and US GAAP.
• Experience with SAP, Anaplan, TM1, Tableau, or similar finance systems.
• Exposure to supply chain, inventory, or operations finance.
