JerrDan: 2nd Shift Painter

JLG, an hirify.global company, develops access equipment such as mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Apply primer, paint, touch-up coatings, decals, stencils, and rust-proofing to JLG products.
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, washing, conditioning, masking, and light bodywork.
• Operate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot electrostatic, air-assist, and automotive-style painting equipment.
• Mix paints and adjust viscosity, chemical composition, and color accuracy, including titrations during related processes.
• Inspect finishes using quality standards such as mil and gloss checks.
• Move parts and materials with tuggers, forklifts, overhead cranes, and manual carts while maintaining an organized work area.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of painting experience in an automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment setting.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Pulmonary Function Test.
• Regular, reliable in-person attendance on site is required.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as production demands require.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, lift up to 35 pounds, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• At least one year of painting experience in a manufacturing or body shop environment.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot minor issues.
