Paint Prep - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee, United States; regular in-person and on-site attendance required

JLG, an Oshkosh company, develops access equipment including mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, utility vehicles, and accessories for the construction and access industry.

What you will do

• Wipe, sand, plug, mask, and inspect parts before the painting process and during paint repair.
• Remove excess water and debris from part cavities and hang components using overhead hoists.
• Inspect finished parts against production and quality standards and help identify root causes of paint defects.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and tuggers.
• Label, stock, and record materials and supplies when inventory support is needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean production area in accordance with safety procedures and 6S standards.

Requirements

• Full-time, second-shift position performed in person and on site.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as production demands require.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, use tools, and lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
• Required PPE must be worn, with visual and auditory acuity needed for safe equipment operation and communication.
