TL;DR
Advanced Product Engineer (Aerospace): Developing and maintaining aerospace sealants, structural adhesive pastes, and films with an accent on product quality, alternate-source qualification, and new product introduction. Focus on leading change management projects, qualifying materials in a regulated market, and solving customer complaints through product and process understanding.

Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, US; at least four days per week at the hirify.global Center. Travel may include up to 10% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance is not available. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 per year, including base pay and eligible variable incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Lead programs to improve quality, reduce costs, qualify alternate sources of supply, and expand aerospace product offerings.
  • Lead cross-functional Change Management Projects for existing products and product line extensions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of aerospace sealants, structural adhesive pastes, and films.
  • Support New Product Introduction teams through implementation and product launch.
  • Partner with quality and plant teams to resolve customer complaints and improve product and process understanding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified before starting.
  • At least three years of product engineering or product development experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional plant, laboratory, and business teams.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without employment visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to work at least four days per week onsite in Maplewood, Minnesota.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in materials, polymer science, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
  • Experience in aerospace, regulated product categories, or material qualification processes.
  • Experience with adhesives, sealants, polysulfide, epoxy, or acrylic chemistry.
  • Experience with coating, radiation, or extrusion processing.
  • Knowledge of product risk assessment, product safety, and product reliability.
