Principal Wastewater Engineer

Salary: USD 85,259.20–148,491.20 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Design and support public and private wastewater projects, including sewer evaluation, infiltration and inflow planning, lift stations, sanitary sewer systems, and asset management.
• Perform regulatory applicability assessments, engineering calculations, data analysis, and compliance evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, memoranda, design drawings, plans, specifications, cost opinions, permit applications, and supporting documents.
• Support project management through schedules, budgets, client relations, project meetings, site visits, bidding, and construction-phase services.
• Prepare proposals and estimates, respond to RFPs, and develop new opportunities through client and project-partner relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater treatment consulting.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, written communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and with specialists while interacting with clients, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and periodically adjust working hours to meet project needs.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and a motor vehicle records check.
