TL;DR
Senior Professional Engineer, Water/Wastewater (Civil and Environmental Engineering): Leading complex public and private water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction with an accent on treatment facilities, pump stations, plans and specifications, and multidisciplinary team leadership. Focus on developing project strategy, managing client and business development activities, mentoring engineering professionals, and delivering water solutions across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the upper Midwest.

Location: Hybrid in Milwaukee/Wauwatosa, Wisconsin: Tuesday–Thursday in the office and Monday/Friday working from home. Travel up to 15% may be required, including site visits and occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $104,500–$154,550 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead complex public and private water and wastewater infrastructure and facility projects.
  • Develop project strategies and manage work from concept through construction.
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed construction plans, specifications, proposals, and technical reports.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, lead meetings and client interviews, and represent hirify.global with clients.
  • Support business development and strengthen the firm's presence in the Milwaukee market.
  • Mentor and develop engineering professionals while fostering collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Wisconsin or Minnesota is required.
  • 10–20 years of progressive technical design experience, including at least five years managing public and private water or wastewater treatment infrastructure and facility projects.
  • Experience managing projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and developing plans and specifications for construction.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, proposal, and technical-report communication skills.
  • U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to travel are required.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree focused on water and wastewater treatment.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects with engineering fees exceeding $1 million.
  • Business development and client management experience in Minnesota and the upper Midwest.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcMap, SWMM, AFT Fathom, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, or Revit.
